Getting the most from the Bilt Palladium

The Palladium is Bilt's premium tier and, for the right person, the standout of the lineup. The case for it is simple: a flat 2x on everything, a strong welcome bonus, and a stack of annual credits that offset most of the $495 fee.

2x on everything is the engine

Earning 2x Bilt Points on all everyday spend makes this one of the best flat-rate cards available — and Bilt points are generally valued higher than comparable rewards currencies. If you can run significant everyday spending through it, the points add up fast, on top of the up-to-1.25x you earn on rent and mortgage.

The credits offset the fee

The welcome bonus alone (50,000 points plus $300 Bilt Cash) more than covers the first year. After that, the $400 annual hotel credit and $200 annual Bilt Cash do most of the work of justifying the $495 fee — before you count the points you're earning or the Priority Pass lounge access and cell phone protection.

Wrap-up

This is the card for high spenders who want premium perks and maximum earning, and who will actually use it as their primary card. If you won't put real spend through it, the Obsidian is the smarter value.
